Im trying to create nations but i don't know how the name system work. If i create a nation called like "testitesti" and want the tag to be "tes" the name only comes out as "tes". I look how other nations files are like holy roman empire is "holy" yet they comes out as "Holy Roman Empire" but it does not work the same way for me. The best way i can get is the wiki page name right.

Looks like you can place ports in 0 level provinces, but you can't do that in -1 level provinces. I haven't found a way to make provinces 0, so how do I do it?

Hello fellow conquerors. I was trying to delete the italian provices from the game, since I made a reddit post proposing the removal of Italy in the EU4 subreddit, then a guy made a mod about my post (for eu4). I wanted to port the mod into AoC2, since I created the meme. However, when I try deleting the italian (to be more specifc) province files (including prov scales) from the default Earth map and editing the config.json to lower the number of provinces of the map, when I start the game it just crashes on load, at 0%. If I try resetting the number of provinces to their default value, the game still crashes. Does anyone know how to delete provinces from the map, withou…

I know that this would be hard but I believe that in the long term of the game this would allow many more people to create new and interesting content as I believe that many people (me included) find the process complicated but I understand if this is not possible for you, as you have no team but even if this took months to create it would help. I do not do any programming so sorry if this is unreasonable, but if someone knows about this I would be very grateful. Thank you

Hello I have passed hours of work to understand why when I add a province in update folder after using map editor. I tried everything I even uninstalled the game twice the second time I even deleted all files I had for it but still the same thing happens everytime, I add a province, I put it in the update folder and set the max amount of provinces to 4270, I even tried setting both to 4297 which is the id of the latest province I added but it still won't work. Please help me out with this.

I downloaded the map editor and i try to open it by clicking the .exe but it says "This application requires a Java Runtime environment 1.4.0" I tried downloading Java and even restarted my PC afterwards yet it still says it requires Java, The most recent version of Java it says on the Java website is "Version 8 Update 191" which i'm not sure if that is the version I need for AOC2 map editor. Help would be much appreciated, Thanks!

I heard there was an update earlier that let the game add new provinces without crashing, I haven't seen any update and even powered off my computer to see if that was the problem but no, and I don't already have the update because the game just won't load and always crashes when I try to boot it up, how do I fix this?

I tried modifying a province in Alaska with the intention of splitting it and adding a new one. After modifying the shape of the province in the editor and adding it to the update file, the province changed in game. The problem being that not to long after the game crashed and now it crashes whenever I try to restart it. I changed the total number of provinces to 4270 like Lukasz did in the video, but it didn't seem to help. What am I doing wrong?

So i've watched the video that Łukasz posted, but i still don't quite get how this stuff works. I tried to make a new province in Argentina, but it just cuts the older one instead of making a new one over it. Anybody knows how to fix this?

I know several topics have already been pinned by Lukasz, but the tutorial video does nothing because nothing is explained, just shown. Plus I have no idea where I'm supposed to find a "PROV" file to copy over to my custom map, that wasn't explained either (yet somehow people know). I would like it if someone could please explain the process in simple terms if at all possible, because making a custom map for HoI is easier than what's available to me here (which is funny because I have never been able to get a successful custom map made there.) I'm frustrated, so I hope this isn't coming off too hostile or something.
