I don't know why the official version of AoC2 can't be run from Steam on Linux (or MacOS). We can use PlayOnLinux to emulate, but there is very better way. This game has been written in Java, so we can run it without any problems by .jar file from game directory. It's works fine, better than PlayOnLinux emulation, so I really do not know, why there is only official Windows support on Steam I've made tutorial How to play AoC2 in Linux ->

These three civilizations are included in the game itself. However, they are not included on the map. This is an outrage! These three countries are being discriminated against and I shan't stand for it! I demand immediately that we add Liechtenstein, San Marino and the Vatican to the map!

So here is the idea: So just like formable nations you will have to get a sertain amount of provinces to release a colony (just like eu4).Unlike the formable civs it will be free (since you lose territory for a vassal) Why should it be in the game? 1.It will make it more historically accurate. Form example if the uk has the 13 colonies it will be able to release them (same way as forming a nation but instead one gets released) 2.AI cant release vassals 3.it will make the game less bordergory 4.It will be easy to make your own colonies (in the map editor just like formable civs) 5.No more hours spent on events (literally just like formabl…

I have an idea. One could add such a parameter as the strength of the troops. It depends on the level of technological development of the country. One could also add the possibility of creating some kind of new building that will increase the strength of the army. Because of this parameter, it will be possible to defeat 1000 troops, who have a small force, with the help of 500 units of troops, who will have great strength.

It would be nice to use an already existing scenario as a template for a new scenario, example: You want to make a map of 1914 so its useful to use the modern world scenario as a template. So you don't need to make everything new or edit an existing scenario.

My sugestion starts by been capable of change the vassal behaviour (be passive, agresive, defensive), and the owner be capable of giving orders to the vassal, like: Declare war, be neutral or support on the players war, etc... (just a few examples). Also have the option to change the vassal ideology.

It's just a minor idea, but looking at the fact that leaders have custom traits and such (A. K. A. a leader can change a country with it's bonuses) i think it wouldn't be a bad idea to add a "Change ruler/leader" option for event outcomes to create more creative scenarios! -Dave

Ages For me the main problem is that ages do not affect on anything but on the numbers. When it's 1936 everyone needs an ally. And when soviets are in the union with Tannu Tuva and Mongolia they will not accept my allies request. Why? Borders, another countries in the union, ideology only -26%. Ideology doesn't do anything! Why democrats don't do a thing! They don't care if half of the universe was conquered by someone. Not their problem lol :DD Why religions don't do a thing in 1440 scenario? This is in my oppinion the most simple and most useful change. So basicly there would be another tick box above the "play as" one in the vassal creation screen, which would be the "put into alliance" and it would just put your vassal into your alliance or make one if you don' t have one yet. So simple and so easy, but it would make all of our life easier,l and the game more fun. (also pls remove ai agressiveness clamp so it could be 0%)

If you could add coups, that be nice. It'd be an easy way to change a civilization's government so they would have a positive relation towards you, but you'd have to send enough funding to the coup, otherwise it would fail and you would go to war. Also, make it so the AI avoids creating enclaves and exclaves.

It's a bit anoying to, let's say, have two French countries, that both have different nationalities. It doesent make sense that France 1 has to asimilate land from France 2. Isn't there any way to make a system like in Victoria 1/2, where every country has accepted cultures. Maybe we could have the ability to make our own cultures, and if we make new countries, we could have the option to asign them accepted cultures. The cores can stay the same, but when we make new scenarios, we could add to each province as many cultures as we think are necesary. Maybe when raising soilders, you could have the option from wich culture these soldiers should be. That's my suggestion

I think it would be pretty cool if there's a new Earth map with melted ice caps and new coastlines. Gameplay could be a lot different and interesting. Also future scenarios could be cooler.

Anyone who has the time/Resources to make a scenario lasting from 1910-1933. Add events that benefit/make it worse for the Nations. For example the german empire gets the option to mobilize men on either the eastern/western front,but it has disadvantages Economy -2% Population-5% Happiness -10% I would really appreciate if somehow the ww1 part of it would be slower, because you know trench warfare and all. Overall it would take a long time,but in the end would be awesome to play....

It could be able to buy vassals in the requisition of trade the only way you can give someone a vassal is fighting some country and signing white peace but if it's with the CPU it gets complicated

Hi heres reasonable suggestions in the game. they should be considered because they all use stuff that already codedd in the game. the timelapse should show other map modes too. if you form a civilization the timelapse will start you as that one. like i form Russia by Muscovy it should show Muscovy until the turn i formed Russia. also please show the country names in the timelapse if possible// if you vassalize countries their color should change to be slightly more like yours. like how government changes colors instead of supporting rebellions one time you should specify how many turns and a percentage of your income to send. also you should be a…
