1870: Franco-Prussian War

Welcome to "1870: Franco-Prussian War" custom scenario. If you want feel free to leave a like and comment. I hope you like it!

July 19 1870: after months of crisis another war has broke out in Europe but this time between the Second French Empire and the Kingdom of Prussia.

The Second French Empire, currently ruled by Emperor Napoleon III, is ready for war with troops already being mobilized but without military assistance from other Great Powers it won't be easy. Meanwhile, in the streets of Paris there are patriotic demonstrations, with crowds singing the national anthem and chanting "To Berlin! To Berlin!". The Emperor has decided to lead the army himself as commander in chief and is now heading to the front for the first battle. We will carry Napoleon Bonaparte's legacy and restore the prestige of the French Empire once again.

The Kingdom of Prussia is ruled by King Wilhelm I and Chancellor Otto von Bismark, who in previous years perfomed important military and civil reforms. Our soldiers, greatly inspired by the recent victory in the Austro-Prussian War of 1866 for the ultimate supremacy over the German states, are ready to fight to the last men aganist French armies. The Kingdom of Bavaria, the Granduchy of Baden and the Kingdom of Württemberg are also ready for war. This time we will unify Germany once and for all.

The Kingdom of Italy, ruled by King Victor Emmanuel II, could use this opportunity to seize the city of Rome and Latium, last remnants of the Papal States. However we can't do much for now until French soldiers leave these regions and depart for mainland France. We will carefully watch the evolving situation just like the other Great Powers.

HOW TO INSTALL: 

  1. Backup your Age of History II game files;
  2. Unzip "1870 Scenario.rar";
  3. Place "scenarios" folder inside: map --> Earth --> scenarios;
  4. Place "leaders" and "leadersIMG" folders inside: game;
  5. If asking to replace click on "Yes";
  6. Enjoy the new custom scenario!
