This scenario is the thirty years war scenario.

Europe of the year 1618 is quarreling about the Bible.

The catholics and the protestants are fighting against each other.

At the east, Poland, Russia, and the Turks are fighting for power.

*naples, portucal and milan were part of spain but is seperated to keep spain growing too big

*lithuania was part of poland but separated for the same reason

 Maybe you can debuff Spain's economy as they were not really a great power by the time anymore.
