Empires that actually collapse

Every single AOC2 game i've played that has lasted more than 1 hour has resulted in a superblob empire that never falls
Is there a way or can you add a feature that allows superblob empires to eventually collapse or atleast collapse more than they already do?

The problem in general is the lack of difficulty in this game, and that comes from a (to say it politely) non-smart AI. If the AI managed its wars and diplomacy better, the game would be pretty hard, with the combat being based on numbers, imagine how brutal would it be to play against a perfectly war calculating AI..

I'm mostly talking about AI superblobs, not player made ones.
But i get your point.
