Yeah! It must be much more expensive to maintain the far territories than closer, so countries wichh have normal borders will have better economic. So the bordergore-countries will not survive very long

Human players aren't the cause of bordergore.  The AI itself would have to change.

AI cannot come to conclusions like we can.  Who is to say they want economic success?  Because they build workshops?  No.  They want to build workshops.  That is how they were programmed.

I mean that bad economic will not let them wage war succesfully enough to defeat normal countries

Guest Doctor Morpheus

I guess adding more unrest to further out provinces work, although it’d have to definitely depend on development, lest we see Siberian revolts in Russia. Additionally, i think that adding parameters to the A.Is objective will help (e.g if it is a German state, it will focus it’s wars on German provinces, France will focus on French and Italian and Belgian provinces, etc.) That could help deal with border gore, although it would probably leech some fun out of the ai game as it will reduce randomness and you may see less rising powers. There isn’t a good way to deal with this when he is a lone developer; the best way is probably to do the first idea mentioned but dependant on development and also some provinces having special modifiers. Anyways, that’s my twenty cents, bye.

That could work.

Border gore would be partially fixed by more realistically dealing with encirclements. Also by making completely-disconnected areas suffer from rebelious tendencies.

There are two types. One is from occupations. The other is from annexations. The solution to occupations is to fix combat.

Yea, if army is encircled and unconnected with its capital it should become almost useless
