(SOLVED) When loading Custom map it Crashes "StackOverflowError"

Recommended Posts

I NEED HELP!!!
I've done everything i needed to do, and the "how to create map" topic has been dead for 4 years and this is a unique problem to me...
so with a debug or smth i was able to find this...

(age.of.civilizations2.jakowski.lukasz.Province.loadProvinceBG(Province.java:406) repeats so on and so forth)

So bro what is happening? any help? is it because of the low amount of provinces (edit: now 113 provinces.13 prvs i am adding more i just wanna test)? does it have to do with the Background (BG I don't really think so as i already have a bg)? does it have to do with the .jar file the AoC2.jar ? edit:it doesn't have to do with the .jar file, i think. i have so many questions... ANY HELP if so thx 🙂.

Edit: The maps i've downloaded worked but my map doesn't. It doesn't make sense to me how my map won't load even if everything is exactly the same except the province count and all that other stuff...

Wait can i ask, how exactly?
bc i added new provinces and it comes back. And once again thx for your help.

edit: i'm sorry i believe it happens if i use "J" to delete a province in the map editor it only removes the text in "mapAoC_v2" to remove the visual stuff smth, but not the file so that means i should delete the file too... I'm wrong

i created a java program that converts the mapAoC2_v2 file into province files and you would need to use it if you want to use the j key

Don't put the province files generated by the map editor in the data/scales/provinces/1 folder (the province files in the data/scales/provinces/1 folder should say something like  image.png.0456736050b0da4219cbeada152d9faf.png after launching the AoC2.jar file, not
