Claims

Recommended Posts

Much like in our world where nations can claim areas that are not in their control you should be able to do it in AOH3. Basically you can add a claim based on demographics, historical majority-ownership, economic influence, huge disconnect between the nation that owns it and the territory you claim, it has a majority of the religion your nation believes in or because you simply what to.

The nation in which you claim areas has to have a relation with you which is below +20 and will reduce the relations between the two states by -70. If a nation recognizes your claim your relations will increase by +70. A puppet will be forced to recognize your claim on the area and a nation influenced by you will be more likely to recognize your claim

In a claimed area you can forcefully send your citizens to switch the demographics in your favor,as well as recruit troops(which will lead to war with the nation that owns the province), build buildings, drop propaganda posters, extract resources and more!

In case of war,if you win you can force the recognition of the claimed area by the nation that controls it, but if you lose you have to drop the claim as well as give up some land and pay heavy reparations(if you decisively lose) and just give up the claim if you lose undecisively. If you draw then a referendum will take place and whoever gets voted to control it gets it

If the majority of the world recognizes your claim(or just the great powers) they will force the nation that controls it to give it up. It's more likely to be recognized if you have the majority of the population pre-claim and will have a low chance of being recognized if you use the other reasons

If you defeat another nation you can force them to recognize your claim in the area you claim, likewise if you get defeated by another nation you will be forced to give up your claim on the region

That's what I think would be a great addition to the game to, not only make it more realistic, but to also give the game more of a strategic feeling. Thanks for your time reading this long idea that would(maybe) make the game better!

This honestly needs to get to Lukasz, if just so we get an answer on this, something like Paradox's "Fabricate claim" would come in handy alot. Especially if you could use it to convince nations to hand over provinces via trade.

(Edit: And AoC2 already has a Cores system, with events, where if you make a province core it does call it "Fabricate claim", but obviously that requires making the event)

    • Campaign: Small Scenarios
In this topic, share your ideas for Campaign scenarios.

These scenarios focus on a small part of the map, with the rest designated as wasteland.

For example, a scenario of the Reconquista in 1054, where gameplay takes place only on the Iberian Peninsula.

What are your ideas for small historical scenarios?

    • Events - Common events for every civilization in the game
      Hi,
in this topic, I am interested in your ideas for events that can happen for every Civilization in the game.
I'm also interested in Missions for every Civilization.

Here is some example, have more than 10k army, have more than 5000 gold, build 10 buildings, recruit an Advisor, increase tax efficiency 20 times, be largest  producer of some resource in the world, unlock 5 Civilization legacies etc.

    • Land units - Ideas AoH3
AoH3 will have different types of land units.

In this topic we will write ideas for new land units.

So the AoH 3 will have new battle system.

Representation of the battlefield in the game.

Land units will be grouped into 3 types. Each unit will have a different recruitment cost, attack, defense, movement speed and upkeep.

Groups determine the placement of units on the battlefield.

Each unit can be unlocked by researching technology and then upgraded.

Here is the current list of units with upgrades:

      First line:

Warrior -> Light Footmen -> Heavy Infantry -> Infantry -> Line Infantry -> Modern Infantry

Hoplites -> Spearmen -> Pikeman -> Elite Pikeman -> Musketeer -> Riflemen -> Mechanized Infantry -> Modern Mechanized Infantry

      First line side:

Horseman -> Elite Horseman -> Cavalry -> Tank -> Modern Tank

      Second line:

Archer -> Bowmen -> Crossbowman -> Elite Crossbowman

Canon -> Field Cannon -> Artillery -> Modern Artillery

Early Airplane -> Airplane -> Modern Airplane

This is a very early version, so maybe something should be changed?

Or maybe an idea for a new type of unit with upgrades? I'm waiting for your suggestions.
