Internal Politics; Religion, Culture, Ideology and Form of Government.

- Introduction:

   In many mods, we've seen the implementation of interesting ideologies, cultures, religions, and forms of government, but something that has long been lacking in AoC II is a system that realistically reflects the political realities of these different elements. 

   Currently, in AoC, you can change your ideology, culture, religion, and form of government with the click of a button, and the consequences of these changes are not accurately represented. For example, it's unrealistic that you can turn a country like Turkey into a Christian democracy with the stroke of a pen, or that you can change the United States to a socialist country without any pushback from the general public.

   This wouldn't just be great for us, average players, but also interesting for modders, since creating such a complex and diverse mechanic gives a lot of field to play and try out new things.

- Idea:

   To address these issues, it's necessary to implement a system that accurately reflects the complex relationships between ideology, culture, religion, and forms of government, and the consequences of changes in these areas. Here's what I propose:

1. Ideology: Implement a system of political parties that reflects the ideologies of the people in power. Each political party could have its own bonuses and drawbacks, affecting areas such as the economy, diplomacy, and internal stability. For example, a socialist party might tax more heavily to provide more social programs, while a libertarian party might cut taxes but reduce the effectiveness of the government.

2. Religion: Religion should play a bigger role in the game, with different religions having different beliefs, practices, and organizations. The government should have the ability to change state religions, which could cause unrest among the population.

3. Culture:

 Implement a system of different cultures, each with its own beliefs, practices, and organizations. This could have a significant impact on diplomacy, internal stability, and the economy.

4. Form of government:

 Introduce different forms of governments, such as a presidential republic, a parliamentarian system, or a monarchy. Each form of government should have its own advantages and disadvantages, affecting areas such as the economy, diplomacy, and internal stability.

5. Internal politics: 

 The system should have a political calendar, which shows the main events, such as elections, referendums, and protests. Players should have the ability to make decisions to support or suppress the opposition, or to appease or silence the media. There could also be a system of laws where we can pass laws, such as slavery, accepting other cultures, religion, speech freedom, etc., and all of that would have an impact in the economy, the birth rate, or the internal estability, for example.

- How could it work?:

   To make these systems interact with each other, we can introduce a system of internal politics, where different decisions and events in the game affect the politics of the country. For example, a decision to increase taxes without providing any explanation or support for it could lead to political instability and public protests. On the other hand, a decision to introduce social programs and welfare policies could increase the popularity of the government among a certain section of the population, while potentially alienating another section.

   Also, getting into wars, or have a epidemic event would have a great impact in the economy of a country, leading to inestability.

   This would require a significant amount of work, but it would greatly improve the depth and realism of the game, and provide players with a more engaging and challenging experience.

I don’t have any high opinion, but I have the feeling that I set a trend for making threads too “official.” Keep it up guys!! (imma serious guys!! ^^) this is the only way to flesh out your idea, and not just write a couple of sentences in broken English with a bunch of mistakes and not get an answer!

debe haber mas formas de gobierno como Republica federal, parlamentaria, presidencial, semipresidencial y socialista. Y a la vez tres tipos de monarquias: Monarquia Absoluta, Monarquia Parlamentaria y Monarquia Constitucional con sus Casas reales y dianastias

    • Land units - Ideas AoH3
      AoH3 will have different types of land units.

      In this topic we will write ideas for new land units. 

       

      So the AoH 3 will have new battle system.


      Representation of the battlefield in the game.


      Land units will be grouped into 3 types. Each unit will have a different recruitment cost, attack, defense, movement speed and upkeep.

      Groups determine the placement of units on the battlefield.


       

      Each unit can be unlocked by researching technology and then upgraded.

       

      Here is the current list of units with upgrades:

      First line:

      Warrior -> Light Footmen -> Heavy Infantry -> Infantry -> Line Infantry -> Modern Infantry

      Hoplites -> Spearmen -> Pikeman -> Elite Pikeman -> Musketeer -> Riflemen -> Mechanized Infantry -> Modern Mechanized Infantry

      First line side:

      Horseman -> Elite Horseman -> Cavalry -> Tank -> Modern Tank

      Second line:

      Archer -> Bowmen -> Crossbowman -> Elite Crossbowman

      Canon -> Field Cannon -> Artillery -> Modern Artillery

      Early Airplane -> Airplane -> Modern Airplane

       

      This is a very early version, so maybe something should be changed?
