In the Map Editor folder you have an optional map background just for the map editor, for example if you have drawn how the provinces you want to divide.

wdym? it's like the aoh2 map editor you'll have to configure it in the config file

it's a EXE file you need java installed to run it

I started making a map, but then I saw that the province ids looked huge compared to the provinces. Apparently my map is too small (1000x2000 pixels). Will images of armies, cities, flags, etc. be as large and how to fix this?

It is very small, 1000x2000 pixels.
AoH2 uses: 4440 x 2600
AoH3 uses 17760 x 8600

 

You can upscale this map in the Config.json file located in the map folder in two ways by increasing these values:

 

DefaultMapScale: 4,
ExtraMapScale: 3.0,

As a result, the map will appear larger in the game than it does in the editor.
