Sieges

Recommended Posts

Ok In Age of History 3, sieges could allow players to mount an extended military assault on enemy fortifications to try and capture a city or settlement. To initiate a siege, a player would need to bring their military to a city or settlement that is controlled by an enemy and then attack it.

Once a siege is initiated, the player would need to surround the city or settlement with their military and cut off the enemy's access to supplies. The player could try to starve the defenders into surrendering, or they could build siege engines to attack the walls and try to breach them.

In order to win a siege, the player would need to destroy all of the enemy's military units or wait out the defenders until their provisions run out and they are forced to surrender. This could take a long time, as fortifications could be highly defensive and the defenders could have plenty of supplies to last a long time. Also if a city has a massive defence like 30 units and the are sieged and they have still a lot more units but they are to far from any enemy army they will surrender

If a country is at war with two other countries and one city is besieged by two powers, then to whom will it have to go? Whose will it be if 2 powers participated in its siege?

Does it mean that the second country will spend its armies for free and the first country will be the head of the siege and the besieged city?

Yes. Because in war are only two sides. If one of them is together captured the city they will have it as captured city of THEIR ALIED TROOPS. They will discuss who would be owner of this city after the war, in peace nagotiation.

I think without discussion, it will belong to those who first stood up to the siege, and not to those who have more troops. The second one, who stands up to the siege, simply senselessly loses troops helping an incomprehensible power in general. It's just that they are fighting together with the same power, but they are not allies and may never even become them. I was scheming and seducing his wife, and this king decided to help me.... HOW UNEXPECTED AND PLEASANT!!! mmm..
