Realistic full scale nuclear warfare

The way nuclear weapons are currently implemented seems to be mostly focused on their use as tactical weapons. I believe that with a few additions and changes AOC III could somewhat realistically simulate a full scale nuclear war and be the first grand strategy game to do so.

Increasing the amount of targets per province:
This is the least important change but would add more depth to the game and would allow for multiple nukes to be dropped on a single province at the same time, thereby increasing the total practical amount of nukes a nation needs to a more historical level.
Instead of the option to just nuke the province and damage everything more or less equally, there could be 4 targets: 
Population center/city: Primarily kills the population of a province
Industrial center: Primarily destroys the economy of a province
Army: Primarily destroys the army in a province
Fortification: Primarily destroys fortifications in a province.
Obviously choosing one of these options would still do damage to the other 3 but for maximum damage 4 nukes will be needed per province. If improved fission bombs and/or hydrogen bombs are added as upgrades for nuclear weapons then the damage to other targets will be greatly increased.

The nuclear attack plan:
Because manually clicking every province of your enemy to drop a nuke would be a massive chore there needs to be a way to somewhat automate this process. I propose the addition of a dedicated nuclear war menu in which you can create nuclear attack plans. In this menu you can select a country for which you want to create an attack plan. Next you can select which targets should be prioritized, if you want to mainly take out the industry of your enemy, their population or their fortifications and armies. The attack plan generator will assign nukes to each list of potential targets from large to small (so the largest cities and industrial zones will be targeted before it targets smaller cities and industrial zones). After the generator has created an attack plan you can modify it manually to, for example, assign extra nukes to a few important cities.
(If air/missile defense systems are added as buildings or units then the plan generator can take this into consideration by assigning multiple nukes to the same target. If for example the enemy's capital has an high level missile defense system with a 90% interception change then the attack plan will drop 10 nukes on every target in the capital to make sure at least one nuke gets through)

The war itself:
After a plan has been created you can of course choose to launch a first strike against your enemy. If a massive nuclear attack is launched against you by a nation for which you have created an attack plan then this plan will be executed automatically. 
The nuclear war itself will be very short, only lasting a single day or 4 hours (depending on what the time in the scenario is set to). I also think that the game in its current state is well equipped to simulate the effects of thousands of nukes going off simultaneously in a nation. The loss of the majority of the population and economy would destroy its income and the massive instability and revolutionary risk generated by the explosions would cause rebellions to begin everywhere, leading to its disintegration.

    • Land units - Ideas AoH3
      AoH3 will have different types of land units.

      In this topic we will write ideas for new land units. 

       

      So the AoH 3 will have new battle system.


      Representation of the battlefield in the game.


      Land units will be grouped into 3 types. Each unit will have a different recruitment cost, attack, defense, movement speed and upkeep.

      Groups determine the placement of units on the battlefield.


       

      Each unit can be unlocked by researching technology and then upgraded.

       

      Here is the current list of units with upgrades:

      First line:

      Warrior -> Light Footmen -> Heavy Infantry -> Infantry -> Line Infantry -> Modern Infantry

      Hoplites -> Spearmen -> Pikeman -> Elite Pikeman -> Musketeer -> Riflemen -> Mechanized Infantry -> Modern Mechanized Infantry

      First line side:

      Horseman -> Elite Horseman -> Cavalry -> Tank -> Modern Tank

      Second line:

      Archer -> Bowmen -> Crossbowman -> Elite Crossbowman

      Canon -> Field Cannon -> Artillery -> Modern Artillery

      Early Airplane -> Airplane -> Modern Airplane

       

      This is a very early version, so maybe something should be changed?
