Formable civilizations, AI and border gore

  In the video published today I noticed that Austria invaded Denmark, Lithuania invaded Bulgaria, Oman invaded central arabia, etc... This kind of random invasions made by AI should be stopped. One way that I think that could stop it is making formable civilizations the main objective of AI instead of conquering the whole world as it was in AOH2.

It's a great idea.

Additionally, I would like to note that if it is possible to divide the regions of the world for countries and emerging countries into conditional metropolitan/colonial ones, then it is possible to link the allocation of subjects to this scheme when conquering territories far from the homeland.

That is, for example, if Germany somehow had a big quarrel with China and took part of the territories, then with a high probability Germany would allocate a puppet (colony) on the conquered lands.

Nah. AI should search for most effective ways of expanding rather than achieving some unimportant objectives. Because that's how a real human plays. And conquering civilizations that are far away is NOT the most effective way. The problem is how AI choose its enemies, not its strategic objectives.
