Migration to Colonies and the Establishment of Colonies, Their Features and Details

Recommended Posts

The migration from Europe to the American colonies should be done without railroads. So, for example, if Lithuania survives and takes over Alabama, it could establish the colony state of Nemuno Sala and send Lithuanian Ruthenian immigrants there, treating the local population either well or poorly.

Distant colonies should not have the same label as the homeland. Both artificial intelligence and player colonies should be willing to create separate colony labels. The process of colonies becoming independent should apply directly to the situations in which the colony is located. For example, consider 13 colonies: if a strong state with self-governing people who have differentiated from the homeland becomes independent, this colony may survive. This colony strives for independence. On the other hand, consider the East India Company: if a colony with millions benefiting no one but a handful of elite English administrators were to become independent, it would lose its legitimacy and collapse. They are aware of this and do not separate.

Additionally, the process of gaining independence should produce different types of states based on who is in power:

1. **Elites from the homeland and minorities initially in control:** They might struggle to maintain unity and could either resort to creating an apartheid-like system or separate to form their own micro-states.

2. **Elites from the homeland but with a majority population:** This situation could evolve into various forms of governance, ranging from a republic to a dictatorship, depending on the political dynamics.

3. **Indigenous revolutionary leaders in control:** The colony could transform into an indigenous state where the leaders adopt the technology and governance structures of the colony, rather than those of the homeland.

---

Even if colonies do not separate in the later stages, if the right technologies are in place, the leaders may not be elites, but they would still have migrated from the homeland and fight for an indigenous republic. This indigenous republic could be established if the indigenous population remains the majority. However, if they are not the majority, they could still establish a republic with indigenous autonomy.

    • Campaign: Small Scenarios
In this topic, share your ideas for Campaign scenarios.

These scenarios focus on a small part of the map, with the rest designated as wasteland.

For example, a scenario of the Reconquista in 1054, where gameplay takes place only on the Iberian Peninsula.

What are your ideas for small historical scenarios?

    • Land units - Ideas AoH3
AoH3 will have different types of land units.

In this topic we will write ideas for new land units.

So the AoH 3 will have new battle system.

Representation of the battlefield in the game.

Land units will be grouped into 3 types. Each unit will have a different recruitment cost, attack, defense, movement speed and upkeep.

Groups determine the placement of units on the battlefield.

Each unit can be unlocked by researching technology and then upgraded.

Here is the current list of units with upgrades:

      First line:

Warrior -> Light Footmen -> Heavy Infantry -> Infantry -> Line Infantry -> Modern Infantry

Hoplites -> Spearmen -> Pikeman -> Elite Pikeman -> Musketeer -> Riflemen -> Mechanized Infantry -> Modern Mechanized Infantry

      First line side:

Horseman -> Elite Horseman -> Cavalry -> Tank -> Modern Tank

      Second line:

Archer -> Bowmen -> Crossbowman -> Elite Crossbowman

Canon -> Field Cannon -> Artillery -> Modern Artillery

Early Airplane -> Airplane -> Modern Airplane

This is a very early version, so maybe something should be changed?

Or maybe an idea for a new type of unit with upgrades? I'm waiting for your suggestions.
