Clear Province Capture

When besieging any province, all provinces that will be occupied after the siege ends should subtly flash with a border outline. This will help players easily understand which regions they will be able to occupy, which will be transferred to them after the siege, and which ones have fortifications.

Simple brightening might work better. Just like when you hover over civilization in potential rivals list. Those lines are kinda... meh

Additionally, if an army is selected and the province contains a defensive structure, the defense level will be displayed in the hover menu.
