Unified System of Cultural, Diplomatic, and Espionage Mechanics

1. Cultural Influence and Assimilation

  • Conditions for Cultural Unification:

    • To unite two cultures, there must be 70% of one culture relative to the total world percentage of that culture in the country, and the culture must have been in the country for more than 120 years.
    • The cultures intended for unification must belong to the same religion.
  • Assimilation Process:

    • Assimilation is conducted separately for each culture.
    • Base Assimilation Threshold: The player can assimilate a culture if its proportion is less than 65% of the total population in the country.
    • If the player has captured over 70% of the territory of another culture, assimilation becomes unbeneficial; it is easier to recognize the culture as equal.
    • Assimilation leads to a significant deterioration in relations with the original culture.
  • Stages of Cultural Unification:

    • Research and Planning (5 years)
    • Cultural Exchanges and Events (10 years)
    • Social and Economic Initiatives (15 years)
    • Support for Local Populations (15 years)

    • The player can promote cultural events through diplomats, which can improve relations with neighbors.

  • Assimilation Reform:

    • Assimilation becomes more effective but causes significant discontent.
    • Advantages: Quick integration of minorities.
    • Disadvantages: Severe deterioration of relations with the culture being assimilated.
  • Autonomous Regions:

    • Creation of autonomous regions for cultural minorities.
    • Advantages: Increased local autonomy and satisfaction.

  • Creating Culture Combinations:

    • Players can define which cultures can unite to create a new culture, adding depth to cultural dynamics and player strategies.

Conclusion

This unified system of cultural, diplomatic, and espionage mechanics, along with the features of the game editor, creates a dynamic and interactive gameplay environment. It allows players to manage cultural diversity, engage in diplomacy, and utilize espionage strategically. Each decision carries its consequences, requiring careful consideration and planning.
