Are there consequences if a nuclear bomb is used? It must also include destroying relations with all countries if a nuclear weapon is used.

I hope you add the option to disable the use of nuclear weapons.

I think that this should be only available for great powers ? If a Great Power weaken to be only as a Major Power, it will slowly loose its atomic bombs, and the newly Great Power starts to research it.

Perhaps make this optional, so people can nuke Russia as Barbados

Honestly, this mechanic feels underwhelming.

After a nuke is created and dropped, there's an explosion sprite and then........nothing? Dropping a nuclear bomb on a country should have utterly catastrophic consequences. The entire world should unite against you, a global war should begin, there should be an outbreak of disease/radiation poisoning, countries should immediately declare war on you. Dropping a nuke should a crucial turning point in a game.

The video above feels very underwhelming at best. Don't get me wrong, I love the mechanic and think it'll be great fun to use, but dropping nukes should have major, game-changing consequences, rather than a small explosion and life continues on as normal.

Really sorry to say this, but someone has to say it. If this is how the war mechanic is like in the final game, then it's awful.

In the video, starting from 2:15 to 3:00, you can see the troops of the Danish army are roaming around freely as they wish on Swedish territory, and the Swedish army has to run after them in their own territory to catch up to them and then engage in battle.

I really don't think modern day warfare is fought by invading a country and running around in their territory while waiting for the opponent's army to run after you from behind and catch up to you so they can engage with you in battle. Rather, this is like 5-year old children playing tag and hide-and-seek in kindergarten.

This feels a lot like AoH2 when you'd have only 10 units of the opponent's army try to take back control of their provinces by finding a gap in the frontline, running around their occupied provinces to liberate them, and you'd have to run after those 10 units to crush them and regain control of the occupied territories.

Except in AoH3, that is how the entire war will look like. At least among the videos that have been posted about AoH3 so far, none of them suggest that fighting wars in AoH3 will be any different from what I've described above.

Everything else in the game is great. Sure, there are some additional features that could have been implemented, and some that didn't need to be removed, but we can all compromise on those.

But warfare is such an important feature of a game such as this, it's not good to compromise on it. And the way the dynamic looks like right now with the lack of frontlines in war, it feels as though fighting wars has gotten severely downgraded in AoH3 compared to AoH2.

    • Land units - Ideas AoH3
      AoH3 will have different types of land units.

      In this topic we will write ideas for new land units. 

       

      So the AoH 3 will have new battle system.


      Representation of the battlefield in the game.


      Land units will be grouped into 3 types. Each unit will have a different recruitment cost, attack, defense, movement speed and upkeep.

      Groups determine the placement of units on the battlefield.


       

      Each unit can be unlocked by researching technology and then upgraded.

       

      Here is the current list of units with upgrades:

      First line:

      Warrior -> Light Footmen -> Heavy Infantry -> Infantry -> Line Infantry -> Modern Infantry

      Hoplites -> Spearmen -> Pikeman -> Elite Pikeman -> Musketeer -> Riflemen -> Mechanized Infantry -> Modern Mechanized Infantry

      First line side:

      Horseman -> Elite Horseman -> Cavalry -> Tank -> Modern Tank

      Second line:

      Archer -> Bowmen -> Crossbowman -> Elite Crossbowman

      Canon -> Field Cannon -> Artillery -> Modern Artillery

      Early Airplane -> Airplane -> Modern Airplane

       

      This is a very early version, so maybe something should be changed?
