Earth Huge

AOH3 has a lot of provinces, over 13,000, but I've decided that isn't enough. I will modify the map to feature approx 100,000 provinces.

Do I expect to actually complete it? No, not anytime soon at least

But will I release an early version of the map? Perhaps sometime mid to late November 🙂

Every province will be individually assigned a growth rate based on its city's peak population, and a resource (will probably add more to reflect the wide array of metals not portrayed in the base game)

As I complete regions, I plan to add many nations to the game, even down to municipalities (if they have flags)

this will be good with the improved war system, but the war score will be a problem, you already aren't given enough to do simple things like change government so it will probs take 100 years to take all provinces of some nations with this many provinces

Hopefully, but as things stand (accurately) mapping rivers is beyond me

This is actually pretty useful for campaigns. It'll be easier to run if most provinces are left as wasteland and you can do small scale campaigns in any part of the world. The Turkish independence war, spanish civil war, maybe some hre campaigns, world wars etc. You don't need the whole world for these but a detailed map adds a lot to the experience. I'm not sure if the game can support 100k province whole world scenarios though. The engine might reach its limit with that.
