Through the Ages 2 or Pillars of Power. I haven't decided on the name yet

I'm still working on the mod.

I have decided on a name and now it will be called Pillars of Power, so as not to be associated with TTA1 and its large number of provinces (the new mod is not about this).

Now I'm working in parallel on all aspects of the game. So, the feature of the mod will not even be a new map, but the development of more, as it would seem, insignificant features.

Now technologies play a more important role in the game. I can not say much, but in Pillars of Power there will be many unique units, buildings, laws. All this will play a decisive role in immersion in the role of a medieval ruler.

Due to the fact that I am developing the mod in depth, and not in breadth, the work on the placement of states on the map is slow, but it is a matter of time. Again, I try to work through all aspects of the game at the same time in order to tie it all together.

I decided that the release of the mod will have only one developed scenario (1157). This will allow me to release the mod earlier than it would have been possible. But various features, including technologies, are already designed for 500-1600 years. Over time, I will update Pillars of Power and add more scenarios.

I think what you're doing is incredible. An idea, considering the game will be set in the medieval era, would be to include events like the Crusades, the most important wars, and maybe unique units for each kingdom.

one comment i will make is that cathar is actully an exoname and as a result we dont ahve any unbaised evidence of their existence as a single organized religious entity but schlors speclate that the exoname cathars was not an actual religion but in reality most likely a bunch of christians with varrin beliefs that were lamped up into a single group of people by the churche that held belifies in more eastern interptation of the bible like dualism any form of embracing of the cathar identity by cathar's was as a result of being treated as one by the enemy gathered as one to fight back

    • Land units - Ideas AoH3
      AoH3 will have different types of land units.

      In this topic we will write ideas for new land units. 

       

      So the AoH 3 will have new battle system.


      Representation of the battlefield in the game.


      Land units will be grouped into 3 types. Each unit will have a different recruitment cost, attack, defense, movement speed and upkeep.

      Groups determine the placement of units on the battlefield.


       

      Each unit can be unlocked by researching technology and then upgraded.

       

      Here is the current list of units with upgrades:

      First line:

      Warrior -> Light Footmen -> Heavy Infantry -> Infantry -> Line Infantry -> Modern Infantry

      Hoplites -> Spearmen -> Pikeman -> Elite Pikeman -> Musketeer -> Riflemen -> Mechanized Infantry -> Modern Mechanized Infantry

      First line side:

      Horseman -> Elite Horseman -> Cavalry -> Tank -> Modern Tank

      Second line:

      Archer -> Bowmen -> Crossbowman -> Elite Crossbowman

      Canon -> Field Cannon -> Artillery -> Modern Artillery

      Early Airplane -> Airplane -> Modern Airplane

       

      This is a very early version, so maybe something should be changed?

      Or maybe an idea for a new type of unit with upgrades? I'm waiting for your suggestions.
