1. Flexible Combat System with Frontlines

  • Concept: In the spirit of HoI4, create a dynamic front line system for modern periods.
  • Implementation:
    • Frontlines and Army Groups: Players can assign armies to the front, and they automatically line up along the enemy border, responding to changes in the enemy line.
    • Tactical Orders: Add the ability to set tactical orders — such as "hold," "advance," or "retreat" — allowing for technology-dependent tactics by era.
    • Strategic Fronts: Enable setting up fronts for large-scale operations, for example, along the border with an entire bloc of countries.

2. Province Transfer and Peace Conferences

  • Concept: Like in EU IV and HoI4, peace conferences allow more flexible distribution of provinces among participants.
  • Implementation:
    • Province Transfer with Search Function: Add a search bar to easily find and transfer provinces. Players can also select areas directly on the map, like in the civilization editor.
    • HoI4-style Peace Conferences: Players can make demands from different countries in a conference. This allows them to transfer territory to allies or hand it over to nations with historical claims (e.g., postwar Eastern Europe).
    • Alternative Peace Terms: Include a "friendly peace" option with terms such as guarantees of independence, economic aid, or military restrictions.

3. Vassal Management and Diplomatic Restrictions

  • Concept: Include vassal settings similar to the vassal system in EU IV.
  • Implementation:
    • Diplomatic Restrictions: Players can restrict vassal actions entirely, preventing them from forming alliances, guaranteeing independence, and conducting independent diplomacy.
    • Automatic Joining of Suzerain’s Alliance: Vassals automatically join the suzerain’s alliance and remain there unless the suzerain leaves the alliance.
    • Response to Attacks on Vassals: If a vassal is attacked, this automatically involves the suzerain and its allies, as in EU IV, making diplomacy more predictable and riskier for the aggressor.

4. World Influence and Ultimatums

  • Concept: Introduce a mechanic for ultimatums and world influence, similar to HoI4, allowing players to achieve goals through diplomacy, not just warfare.
  • Implementation:
    • Ultimatums: Include the option to issue ultimatums with demands for surrender, territorial concessions, withdrawal from alliances, disarmament, or trade sanctions.
    • Threats and Shadow Support: Add options for “supporting,” “intervening,” or “showing force” to influence states without declaring war.
    • World Influence: Like in EU IV and HoI4, players can increase their influence in regions through diplomatic actions and propaganda.

5. Scenarios and Technology Progression from 1440 to 2024

  • Concept: Scenarios from different periods, allowing players to progress from the medieval era to the present day, with dynamic technological advancements and changing mechanics.
  • Implementation:
    • Era-based Changes: Technological progress affects game mechanics — initially focusing on feudal armies and castles, then cannons and firearms, and, in modern scenarios, aviation and nuclear weapons.
    • Progression Across Centuries: Like EU IV, dynamic progress allows players to experience societal development, with shifts in diplomacy, military tactics, and economy.
    • Transitional Scenarios: Create intermediate scenarios, such as the Napoleonic Wars, World War I, or the Cold War, where players have access to specific technologies and strategies.
