The world of 1936 is dramatically reshaped by the turbulent events of the Xi’an Incident. In this alternate timeline, a fractured China spirals deeper into civil war as Wang Jingwei’s Kuomintang (KMT) faction crushes Communist resistance, consolidating power at the cost of national unity. Japan, seizing this moment of disarray, avoids a full-scale invasion of China, instead cementing its dominance in Manchuria and northern China. Over time, Wang’s government aligns more closely with Tokyo, transforming northern China into a puppet state under Japanese influence.

In 1939, the balance of power tilts further when Japan decisively defeats the Soviet Union at the Battle of Khalkhin Gol. The death of Soviet General Zhukov leaves the Red Army leaderless, crippling its ability to resist Japan’s eastern advances. Emboldened, Japan sets its sights on Siberia, while Germany’s blitzkrieg overwhelms the Soviet Union from the west. By 1944, the USSR collapses under a coordinated assault, giving rise to a fractured state of warring factions and Japanese-dominated territories in the Far East.

Meanwhile, World War II unfolds differently in the west. The United States, led by an isolationist government, avoids entering the conflict. Germany dominates Europe, carving out vast territories in Eastern Europe but fails to subdue the resilient United Kingdom. After years of stalemate, a white peace is declared in 1948, leaving Germany as Europe’s unchallenged superpower.

By 1950, the world stands divided. Japan rules Asia, controlling puppet states in China and Siberia. Germany reigns over Europe, and the weakened Soviet Union teeters on collapse. The United States remains distant, focused on its internal growth. The stage is set for a global power struggle in this new world order.

Our mod’s map, with around 6,000–8,000 provinces, is optimized for smooth performance, especially on mobile devices. While the province count is smaller than some other games, this ensures faster load times and better accessibility without compromising the depth of gameplay.

The focus is on immersive events and branching paths, offering rich narrative-driven gameplay over sheer map size. Every decision impacts the alternate history, delivering a unique, engaging experience built around strategic depth and player agency.
