Diplomacy and trade

-should add spies where they go to enemy land and they see their enemy army size and report back to you 

-should add where you can create disinformation so you can get 2 countries to go to war 

-assassination of leaders 

-religion,Provinces will be unstable if you support a different religion 

-laws 

-more different type of resources like rice,tobacco,wheat,tea,etc...

-can be able to trade resources 

-mercenary soldiers you can loan

In trade I think you can set it to declare a war with another country for something else.

Assassinating leaders could be interesting and would lower the stability/happiness of a country, but it would have to put in a new leader. Maybe it would require a random leader generator? That would be an extra amount of effort.

Religion could be a yes or no, assimilating provinces is in my opinion a very annoying process that isn't very helpful or have any fun in it at all, but I understand why it's there. If religions also brought another assimilating issue, it would be almost impossible to do any large expansion without tonnes and tonnes of money. I understand it but scenarios like WW2 Germany would be almost impossible to recreate.

Laws could be a really cool one.

Resources could also be a good one as at the moment. That could also connect with the trade resource thing. Maybe you would have to program in an entire global market where countries would be able to trade resources for other resources and money? That would definitely be a lot of work implementing but could make the game a lot more fun and creative.

It's supposed to slow expansion so nations don't overextend and is much more natural.
